Guy Bedford f955c20dd1 net: support sending net.BoundSocket to threads and child processes 
This adds support for transferring net.BoundSocket instances to other
threads via the worker_threads postMessage() transfer list, and for
sending them to child processes as the sendHandle argument of
subprocess.send(), following on from the BoundSocket introduction.

A BoundSocket reserves a port synchronously at construction time.
Making it transferable means a port can be reserved on one thread or
process and the bound (but not yet listening or connected) TCP handle
handed off to another to listen or connect on, without racing on the
bind.

For threads, BoundSocket implements kTransfer/kTransferList/
kDeserialize, moving the underlying TCP handle with the same mechanism
used for net.Socket and net.Server transfer. For child processes, the
handleConversion entry reuses the same transfer protocol on the
sending side and the same _TransferredBoundSocket deserialization path
on the receiving side; the underlying transport is that of cluster's
shared-handle scheduling: SCM_RIGHTS on Unix and WSADuplicateSocket on
Windows, both of which carry bind state.

In both cases the source instance is left in the adopted state:
address(), fd() and close() throw ERR_SOCKET_HANDLE_ADOPTED. Transfer
requires an un-adopted, open TCP handle, otherwise
ERR_WORKER_HANDLE_NOT_TRANSFERABLE is thrown; pipe (path) binds are
not transferable and throw ERR_INVALID_HANDLE_TYPE when sent over IPC.
On the receiving side the local address is re-derived from the handle
rather than trusted from serialized state.

Avocado d046fb4297 doc: clarify stream direction in options.stdio note 
The stdio array note describes the stream passed for stdin as readable
and stdout/stderr as writable, which is the reverse of the
subprocess.stdin/subprocess.stdout streams created by 'pipe'. Readers
keep conflating the two perspectives (see the linked issue and the
self-closed PR #62175), so spell out the data flow and the contrast
explicitly.

Chiang Fong Lee f17088855f doc: fix return types for sync methods

Kit Dallege 22fc52bda1 doc: remove spawn with shell example from bat/cmd section 
Remove the suggestion to use child_process.spawn() with the shell
option set for running .bat and .cmd files on Windows. Passing
arguments through spawn with shell: true is deprecated (DEP0190)
due to shell injection risks. Keep the exec() and direct cmd.exe
spawn alternatives.

Dan Fabulich 3dd26f32fb doc: recommend events.once to manage 'close' event 
`events.once` is a great way to manage the `close` / `error` / `exit`
events of a child process. It creates a Promise that is fulfilled when
the EventEmitter emits the given event or that is rejected if the
EventEmitter emits 'error' while waiting.

I think a lot of people wrongly think that managing a spawned child
process requires writing boilerplate handlers for `close` and `error`,
and that there's no `promisify` solution for spawned child processes. In
fact, `events.once` is that solution. The docs should explicitly
recommend it in examples.

Angelo Gazzola db56020f50 doc: fix typo on child_process.md 
This note on `options.stdio` mentions that it's not recommended to pass
`stdin` as a writable stream and `stdout/stderr` as readable, but then
proceeds to say to always check that `stdin` is writable and
`stdout/stderr` are readable.

Going by the examples and the fact that `process.stdin` is readable and
`process.stdout/process.stderr` are writable, I'm assuming that the
types in the recommendation got swapped.

Adds a comma after "blocks" in a sentence explaining how subprocesses
may pause when the pipe buffer is full. This improves readability and
clarifies the meaning of the sentence, preventing misinterpretation of

Evan Shortiss 17b5d0bf85 doc: add example for execFileSync method and ref to stdio 
Added an example to the `execFileSync` method. This demonstrates how to
handle exceptions and access the stderr and stdio properties that are
attached to the `Error` object in a `catch` block.

Added a link to the detailed stdio section nested under
`child_process.spawn()` from each child_process sync method option
description.

Some core modules can be loaded with or without the `node:` prefix.
Using the prefix disambiguates which specifiers refer to core modules.

Damjan Cvetko c649573a2a doc: clarify path search in child_process.spawn 
The documentation about command lookup could be more clear and note
differences between Windows and Linux/OSX.
Current text gives the impression that if one passes `options.env`
without `PATH`, the path search will fall back on `process.env.PATH`.
In reality, passing environment without `PATH` to `execvp` causes it
to look for the binary only in `/usr/bin:/bin`.
Also Windows behaves different and more in line with the current
documentation text.
