Pull sysctl updates from Joel Granados:
- Disallow partial vector updates
Stage sysctl vector writes before updating. Removes the chance of
leaving a sysctl vector partially updated due to erroneous input.
This is not an atomic write; a concurrent reader can still see a
partially updated vector.
- Remove redundant sysctl config guards
Remove locations where (CONFIG_SYSCTL && CONFIG_PROC_FS) was checked.
They are superfluous as CONFIG_SYSCTL now depends directly on
CONFIG_PROC_FS.
- Rewrite selftests using KTAP helpers
Each test now reports its own KTAP result and runs in a subshell.
Test suite continues after failure.
- Misc
Fix a use-after-free in the selftests test_sysctl module. Quiet an
unused variable warning in fs/proc/proc_sysctl.c:init_header(). Add
tests for partial vector updates and the int jiffies converters.

proc_int_k2u_conv_kop() reports the sign through *negp and the magnitude
through *u_ptr, but for a negative value it hands the sign-extended int to
the converter and negates the result:
*u_ptr = k_ptr_op ? -k_ptr_op((ulong)val) : -(ulong)val;
With div_hz() and CONFIG_HZ=1000 a stored -1000 becomes
(ulong)-1000 / 1000 == 18446744073709550, and negating that wraps:
# echo -1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_fin_timeout
# cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_fin_timeout
-18428297329635842066
The magnitude is HZ dependent but the wrap is not: the negation happens
after the division at every CONFIG_HZ.
Take the magnitude first and convert that, which is what the open-coded
version did before commit 2dc164a48e ("sysctl: Create converter
functions with two new macros") folded it into a macro. The
k_ptr_op == NULL branch was already correct.
All three int converters that pass a k_ptr_op are affected:
proc_dointvec_jiffies(), proc_dointvec_userhz_jiffies() and
proc_dointvec_ms_jiffies().

When updating the kernel sysctl vectors there is a chance that not all
vector elements are updated due to erroneous input. Use a staging
variable that holds a copy of the vector and commits to the actual
table->data only when all input is successfully updated. This does
**not** make the write atomic as a reader can still see a partially
updated vector.
The staging is only for vectors; cases where table->data points to a
variable should not be staged as they will not be updated on input
error. PROC_VEC_UINT is not included because UINT arrays are not
allowed.
Replace first with nr_conv, incremented where first was cleared. first
is exactly nr_conv == 0, and the counter doubles as the number of
elements to publish.
Example of behavior that is being prevented:
# echo "4 4 1 7" > /proc/sys/kernel/printk
# echo "1 x" > /proc/sys/kernel/printk
-bash: echo: write error: Invalid argument
# cat /proc/sys/kernel/printk
1 4 1 7 <- incorrect
It should be unchanged ("4 4 1 7") on error.

Make do_proc_vec static and parametrize by proc_vec_type enum which
defines the type being processed and selects which converter is "live".
Signed-ness and size are calculated based on proc_vec_type and

Eight converter functions are created using two new macros
(SYSCTL_USER_TO_KERN_INT_CONV & SYSCTL_KERN_TO_USER_INT_CONV); they are
called from four pre-existing converter functions: do_proc_dointvec_conv
and do_proc_dointvec{,_userhz,_ms}_jiffies_conv. The function names
generated by the macros are differentiated by a string suffix passed as
the first macro argument.
The SYSCTL_USER_TO_KERN_INT_CONV macro first executes the u_ptr_op
operation, then checks for overflow, assigns sign (-, +) and finally
writes to the kernel var with WRITE_ONCE; it always returns an -EINVAL
when an overflow is detected. The SYSCTL_KERN_TO_USER_INT_CONV uses
READ_ONCE, casts to unsigned long, then executes the k_ptr_op before
assigning the value to the user space buffer.
The overflow check is always done against MAX_INT after applying
{k,u}_ptr_op. This approach avoids rounding or precision errors that
might occur when using the inverse operations.

Rename converter parameter to indicate data flow direction: "lvalp" to
"u_ptr" indicating a user space parsed value pointer. "valp" to "k_ptr"

identification of discrepancies between direction (copy to kernel or
copy to user space) and the modified variable. This is a preparation

kernel.

Replace the "write" integer parameter with SYSCTL_USER_TO_KERN() and
SYSCTL_KERN_TO_USER() that clearly indicate data flow direction in
sysctl operations.
"write" originates in proc_sysctl.c (proc_sys_{read,write}) and can take
one of two values: "0" or "1" when called from proc_sys_read and
proc_sys_write respectively. When write has a value of zero, data is
"written" to a user space buffer from a kernel variable (usually
ctl_table->data). Whereas when write has a value greater than zero, data
is "written" to an internal kernel variable from a user space buffer.
Remove this ambiguity by introducing macros that clearly indicate the
direction of the "write".
The write mode names in sysctl_writes_mode are left unchanged as these
directly relate to the sysctl_write_strict file in /proc/sys where the
word "write" unambiguously refers to writing to a file.
