* chore(ai): add claude skills

* add readme for claude configs

* chore(ai): add /check-ci slash command

* chore(ai): share repo guidance via AGENTS.md

Move the layout/commands/architecture/conventions guidance into AGENTS.md so non-Claude agents (Codex, Cursor, Aider, ...) read the same source. CLAUDE.md now imports it via @AGENTS.md and keeps only Claude-specific notes (skills auto-trigger, slash commands). Commands are inlined rather than delegated to skills, since other tools cannot read skills.

* chore(ai): add prepare-release skill

Playbook to stage a release locally (semver pick, PR gathering, RELEASE-NOTES.md per template, scripts/release.sh bump, scripts/tag.sh dry-run) without ever tagging, pushing, or committing. List it in AGENTS.md; drop CLAUDE.md's duplicate skill enumeration so names live only in AGENTS.md.

* update add command skill.

* chore(ai): grant allowed-tools to skills

add-command: WebFetch (fetch spec + docs). prepare-release: Bash(git describe:*), Bash(gh pr list:*).

* chore(ai): update settings.json

* docs(ai): fix test commands and stale references

- ginkgo focus example used ./..., which fails every non-ginkgo
  package with 'flag provided but not defined'
- TestPoolNew does not exist; point at TestConnStateMachine
- use real CI check names in /check-ci and lead with test-redis-ce
- correct keyless-command example, backoff wording, file pointers;
  swap drifting line refs for symbol anchors
- normalize settings.json permission style; drop personal caveman
  block from .gitignore and the /loop reference

CLAUDE.md

This file provides guidance to Claude Code (claude.ai/code) when working with code in this repository.

Repository guidance — layout, commands, architecture, and conventions — is maintained in AGENTS.md so it stays shared across AI tools. It is imported below; edit AGENTS.md, not this file, for that content.

@AGENTS.md

Claude-specific

  • Repo-local skills under .claude/skills/ auto-trigger from their descriptions — no need to invoke them manually (the set is listed in AGENTS.md).
  • Slash commands under .claude/commands/ (e.g. /check-ci) are available in-session.
  • Architectural specs under .claude/specs/ are read on demand; open the relevant one before changing that subsystem.
