Amir Zarrinkafsh bbb581b024 test: check errors received from channels (#13546) ...

golangci-lint v2.15.0 bumps errcheck from v1.20.0 to v1.30.0, which now
reports unchecked errors from channel receive statements
(kisielk/errcheck#288). The CI agents picked up the new release, so four
existing receives from `chan error` in the LDAP pool and garbage
collector tests started failing the lint step on every build.

The `select` guards that assert `Close` has not returned yet now bind
the received error and include it in the failure message, matching the
`case err = <-closed:` form used elsewhere in the same tests. The
garbage collector test now asserts `Run` returned no error rather than
discarding it.
